Does the core factions mean SON factions(Black sun, Majestic, Deep ones)?

It's the errata #1 for Shadows over Normandie. I think core factions mean SoN factions of the core box.

Saw another update in the French Forums from gduprez. This is Google translated (with a second pass by me), so don't take any of this as set in stone, but since gduprez is "The Man" for SoN so I figured it was useful even in this state 🙂

These clarify Axel's earlier statements a bit with some of the reasons behind the choices.

[DPG] has chosen to modify a number of special abilities in order to homogenize mechanics. This was possible because the SoN range is still limited for the time being. So for [Jury Rigged], Serres ... We made the choice that the bigger the value the greater the ability to chance to effect. Thus the higher the value of [Jury-rigged] on a piece of equipment, the more likely it is not to function, the higher the value of [Mythos Manifestation], the more the creature is afraid ...

In addition, to clarify the rules of Madness, DPG split the Madness into Instant and Persistent versions. To differentiate them, they decided to put the name of the Instant versions in red. [Note: IIRC, this was mentioned elsewhere also, but worth including here.]

On to the notes:

Core Box SoN:
- 3 Deep One Grenade markers (replace existing tokens): Range 2 intercases (formerly 2 boxes) and Jury-rigged 2 (for the reason explained above)
- 3 Deep One Panzerfaust markers (replace existing tokens): Jury-rigged 2 (for the reason explained above),
- 3 Instant Madness (Fear, Suicide and Steady) (replace the existing tokens):
- Pitchfork (replaces the existing one) This pawn was altered for more variety in customizations. It now gives Remote Assault 1. The option of CuF has also been changed in the HoN range on the corresponding patches,
- Grenade Template: missing in the base box,
- Toxic/Hypnotic Gas Cloud template (replaces the existing one) :

Cthulhu Mythos Call 1
- Ghouls (x2 - replaces units): the underground movement value decreases from 5 to 3,
- Bless Blade (replaces the existing one): new point cost and new launch cost to rebalance to the other spells,
- Sense Life (replaces the existing one): got widely modified in the Compendium. Is particularly more dependent on line of sight,
- Cthulhu's Claws (replaces existing): the cost decresed from 15 to 10 for reasons of balance,
- Serum Dart Gun (replaces existing): Option Indicated x4 but was reduced to x3 since there are only 3 Serum markers,
- Byakhee (replaces existing unit):

Achtung! Cthulhu (KS Exclusivity)
- Suppurator option and Suppurator marker: missing on extension punchboards,
- Zombie (unit): additional Zombie to complete all options,
- Eldrich Ichor marker: missing marker on The punchboards in relation to the proposed options.

Bonus
- an alternative Reef Breaker tile with 2 small option slots,
- Level Up 1 (x2), Level Up 2 and Level Up 3 options with white stripes on the front and green on the back to increase the use of the Level Up tiles (replaces Equivalent options in the punchboard Level Up). These offer more option for SoN characters to level up by adding Green stripes.

I spent about 30 mins last night searching for the suppurator option tile. I thought I lost it… (A!C rules have the suppurator rules, so I wanted the option as I was building a BS army)

Then it occured to me to check this errata thread. There never was a suppurator tile in the revised Achtung Cthulhu punchboard! 😀

So I will try the suppurator another time.

It will depend on how long it takes to deal with the last 10-15% of the backers who never bothered to fill out the Pledge Manager. There is no "remaining stock" to sell until all the pledges have been sent and any corrections dealt with.

I know it is a drag, but they paid for the product.

That makes zero freaking sense. It’s for sale in the world shop. Why sell it there if they are holding it back for KS backers. Bullshit yet again.. I get you like the pigs but quit shilling for them with bullshit.

Just because you don't like it does not mean it makes no sense nor that it is not true. The stock DPG has is not in a magic bag that they can access anywhere around the world. It has to be shipped to the various fulfillment centers and warehouses.

The stock for the US has already been allocated and shipped to the US. It is currently at Nift's warehouse waiting on the final stages of fulfillment of US KS pledges. KS backers get priority, since they funded the creation of the boards in the first place. Once that fulfillment is done, whatever is left will be shipped to the US store as stock for sale. That is how it works. Axel already told you that.

EU Fulfillment was done from the EU supply of materials. It started before North American fulfillment and is now completed. So the material is available from the French warehouse. For that matter, at the time the Resupply KS was done the SoN Errata 1 was only ever going to be available from the EU store — because there only WAS the EU store.

The US warehouse was something DPG added to try and cut down on the shipping of materials to North American customers. The idea is bulk shipping via container to keep the cost manageable so that the shipping to the end customer can be kept reasonable. If that does not work for you feel free to order from the EU store and you can have the board now. And before you bring up the cost of shipping you can read this thread about how reasonable the shipping is from within the EU.

I get finishing fulfillment, but if it’s waiting on the lazy ass backers that have had months to finish out their pledge give me a break. Most companies would have provided the Errata for free anyways (lookup D-day at Omaha Beach) and not tie it to a KS. Smells like a money grab to me, but to charge me and not make it available for months that’s ridiculous. And the worst part is no freaking communication on top of everything else.

SoN Errata #1 Posted on [21/11/2017] à 05:26

You are entitled to your opinion. Did you read the thread I linked, which discussed with EU players the cost of shipping from within the EU? The only company getting your "money grab" is whomever handles the shipping in France.

SoN Errata #1 Posted on [21/11/2017] à 17:51

The money grab is linking the Errata to a Kickstarter. It should have been available to all and completely separate from the Kickstarter. Seriously who else has ever done that with Errata replacements? I’m upset because the Errata is finished and there are hundreds of copies available to the public in the world store and none in the US store. You can spin your KS stories that doesn’t make this any less of a slap in the face to any US supporters of their products. And as an added kick in the balls they don’t give us any kind of update on the status of this or any of the other products I and many others have our money tied up in.

I did just see the update on Shadow Hunters. Thanks! Like I’ve said before I don’t mind the delays, but delays with no communication sucks. Hopefully this is a sign that the communication part is going to get better.

You have the same access to the errata boards that people in South America, China (ironically), Australia, or anywhere else not in Europe have access to buy. You can buy right now from the world store. Other countries in the same "shipping zone" from France have to pay that shipping.

Well, how much of DP's sales come from South America, China, and Australia vs how much of their business is done in the US?

Going by the Hon, Son, and Resupply KS's , America (as a country)is DP's top supporter, Aus is 8th or 9th, and China/S. America don't even make the top ten(granted KS is a US platform).

The lack of communication coupled with a US Store that seems to be an after-thought leaves one feeling a bit taken for granted.

Personally, I like Hon and Son a lot, but jumping thru DP's hoops is quickly driving me away.

hmmmm……..cookies.

SoN Errata #1 Posted on [22/11/2017] à 08:22

Being a European, it does annoy me some what at the constant complaining about shipping costs. Guess how much we have to pay when buying things from the US? A damn sight more than the equivalent most US retailers charge when shipping to Europe! A small military pouch with a cost of 14 bucks and they were going to charge 39 dollars shipping! I used my choice and said no. Pay the going rate or don’t! But enough of this subject please! Anyway back to trying to figure out how to stop Cthulhu from taking over the world 😈

66.3% of KS purchases are from the US. Second comes in far behind at 5.4% from the UK. #10 is Singapore at a whopping 0.7%. South America, China and Australia all fall behind them.

SoN Errata #1 Posted on [23/11/2017] à 00:01

KS backers are not a direct indicator of website sales, quite the opposite in fact since the majority of them get everything in the campaign. So that lowers demand for retail sales.

Nothing I can say about sales are going to be believed, so I will just say look at how much of the DPG line that Iello is currently carrying. And before you try to claim otherwise, Iello printed their own stock based on their own understanding of demand. That is why their stuff has their logo on it. Anything that does not have Iello's logo on it means that Iello did not consider it had enough demand to make it worth printing themselves. So take a look and do your own research.
