i think that Generalleutnant Fritz Bayerlein (German High Command 500pts plus) bears a

likeness to Curt Jurgens , who was in The Battle Of Britain , The Longest Day and second Steiner movie.

I think Kowalski is "Pvt. Gutowski" played by Richard Davalos from Kelly's Heroes.

I'll have a go at some of these….


Kowalski is a very common Polish surname, the equivalent of Smith. There were therefore quite a few Kowalski's in the US army (including a Colonel Frank Kowalski) and the name always seems to appear in war films, usually as a minor character.


Sniper Bill Furlong might refer to Canadian Rob Furlong who held the record for the longest recorded sniper kill in Afghanistan in 2002 (since beaten by British sniper Craig Harrison in 2009). Seems an odd connection but a strange co-incidence otherwise.


Generalleutnant Fritz Bayerlein is a historical character, commander of the Panzer Lehr division (and also after the war he was technical advisor on "The Guns of Navarone" !).


Hans Gruber is the name of the bad guy in "Die Hard". It might also refer to Colonel Hans Landa in "Inglourious Basterds".

Captain Duvall looks like Colonel Kilgore (Robert Duvall) from Apocalypse Now.

If I am not wrong, Bayerlein, was a really existed historical character before being portrayed eventually in movies, videogames or such…
