I'm curious, how many people play with modifying the systems rules? I'm a rules tinker at heart.


I am trying to skew the rules into a more realistic/historical direction (I love the work done on a more historical version of the rules that the site has to offer). A few tweaks I've been making are to the recruiting tiles to make them align more with historical platoon setups, and also the chits themselves. Specifically I changed the German Rifle Gruppe to have a bonus of +1 vs +2. We don't play so much with points, rather more historical based scenarios (but I may give some thought to trying to point out the modifications I've done).


I'm curious, what other modifications do people like to play with?

Pour ma part je jouai sans modifier les règles quand j'avais le jeu.

We play with some modified Suppression rules and some tweaks to Light Vehicles.


We are doing this not to increase 'realism' per se but to provide additional incentive to utilize what we perceived to be underused mechanics/units.

The only modification I use is that I treat all Tactical Bonus Order Stars as single-use. I think a permanent extra order is too powerful.

Honestly, I'm not at a point in my knowledge of the game where I know enough to tinker much.


Each game I continue to learn more about what's already there!
