If a unit has an X for a combat value. It means that you cannot assault a target of that type.

I’m sorry but I am missing what this means.

Brother Prabian has this symbol so what am I not understanding.

Where that X is ? You have to control that: if it is on the left upper side, it relates to the Scout teams or the Avangard team… If I recall it correctly.


If the X is located instead upon one or more little shields related to the unit types (infantry, medium vehicules, heavy vehicules) it means that your unit cannot go melee or shoot towards the units of the type indicated…

Usually troops can attack other infantries and medium vehicules…

But sometimes (Telion, in example) they can also try to attack heavy vehicules…

The X is located upon the combat values shields? It, then, means that such unit cannot attack that type of units.

Unless your unit could access an alternate attack type which can instead do that (melta bombs or bazooka).

I found the symbol in the main book. It was the symbol for terrifying.

I looked and looked. And then today there it was.

Gosh… I did misinterpretate what you wanted to know: I thought you where talking about the X like symbol which the Space Marine 10th company troops have… Or the X symbol appearing on some "attack bonuses' shields" or such.

Sorry…

However… The Frightening Dhot symbol is not an X at all: it is a sort of icon formed by an explosion icon and an arrow blue icon pointing downwards…
