Suppressive fire

ATTENTION: This post is about the CARD GAME, not the board game.

Hello all! Playing this fabulous game on New Years Day to kick off 2022 in grand style. When a unit has the suppressive fire ability, the rules state that the if a 7 or higher is rolled the target gets a SUPPRESSED marker.

First: This is in addition to a hit if a hit were to be rolled correct? And would it be possible to get 2 SUPPRESSED markers if an 8 was rolled with double (assuming a 9 is needed for a hit, like German card 014)?

Second: Is the SUPPRESSED maker put on BEFORE a save roll (if available) is done? We played it that the save roll was simultaneous to the fire so we applied the SUPPRESSED after the save roll was done, bit it's nor crystal clear and I could see it either way.

Thank much and happy New Year!

This is a question about the card game, if I’m not mistaken by the forum labeling.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t played my copy of the card game, so I cannot be of any help. 😳

Ivan this is about the CARD GAME as the forum title says, and as Bart points out.

So unfortunately none of your advice applies. The rules in the CARD GAME are similar to the board game but simpler in many ways.

Bart, the Card game is very good. It's fast, a buddy and I played 3 scenarios in a few hours and it was his first time playing and I had pretty much only played solo up to that point. We ran into some situations that we were unclear about how the rules apply, hence the questions here. Over all a very good system. I highly recommend you get it on the table soon!

Thanks for you time and have a great day.
