I haven't had an official answer, but in my opinion you can continue playing the split-deck way.


I think it's a matter of preference and flavor (10% of each nation's deck has unique cards).

It should be like the « cabin boy » include with Ventura and Smuglers


When dead, it gives a malus to nearby units.


An advantage for US player : if this units are hit, it seems to not adding any victory point for the German player. So this set could help you to protect your "vieux grognards".

The downside is with the suppressed for nearby units. Then, quickly, your troops will get stuck on the beach, with big difficulty getting out (move-2)

Festungskompanie unlocked.


A few spelling mistakes which will be fixed.


Pack 40 should be PaK 40.

PaK 40 is missing it's limited firing arc.

Festungskompagnie should be Festungskompanie.


Turmstellung looks like a nice new option!

I have two 1.0 Core boxes in my Collection.Do you guys see any incentive in pledging for the whole BRO Corebox? Like in having a 2nd 2.0 Card Deck for the US and Germans? I would like to but just cant see why. Otherwise I guess I ll go with the Cowboy Pledge 😈


edit./ oh and I backed back from hell so I also got the new cards.

Do you have heroes of stalingrad? When you do then you have 4 stocks of cards. I do not know of you play alot with four players.

I have Stalingrad yes. Mostly I play in 2 Playee games. Thought the decks get splitted in a 4 Player game?

You can split of you can use the decks from HOS to gether with the decks of HON.

Cowboy sounds like the right way to go for you. You already have the HoS decks you can use if you really want a second set of decks for a huge game 🙂

Not additional, I think. The aircraft are part of the stretch goals, not part of the core box.


It's similar like in the Heroes of Stalingrad.

It is ironic that my post about context is now being used out of context. Furthermore, that quote does not actually mention aircraft. That post was based on "preview" versions of the core box from 2 years ago — that has very little to do with what may or may not be in the product now that it is finally being developed.


IMPORTANT: I am not an employee of DPG. I do not speak for them on what is or is not in a product still under development.

Solo-mode Development has been achieved!

You can now pick up the new Solo box as an Add-On.


And some new goals have been announced – High Command tiles!



These are much more of a draw for new players than Veterans, but it is nice to see newer players get a chance to pick these up. So Artillery are again available, as well as the Aircraft from Omaha.


The new High Command do seem to operate a bit differently than the older version. I see a unit with NCO ability on it.


And let us not forget Smoke to help screen your advance.
