352nd Infantry Division Errata Posted on [22/12/2019] à 19:47

Looks like an errata is needed

Yes, the recruitment tile has an out-dated version of the unit token included on it. It has 0 effect on play. 😈

But it does break the gameplay. During our last game, we argued which image is the correct one. We went with the logic that since other fire groups have assault, the assault group from this recruitment tile should have it too. 🙂

How would it break gameplay? 😎

Breaking the gameplay is not the right set of words. During our last game, one of the players insisted that all of the fire group units have assault. We rolled with it. The units may have been stronger than originally intended.

🙂

This is more of a note for anyone who will look this up in the future.

The Grenadiers of the 352nd Infantry division are not well trained veterans like the Panzergrenadiers of the 130th Panzer Lehr division.

So, they do not get the assault symbol.

This game represents well the training levels of the various units, in my opinion.

This is supposed to be a joyful occasion. Lets not bicker and argue about who killed who.

So YOU broke gameplay 😉

I am not going to get into an explanation of why the Assault icon may or may not appear on a Fire Team. I am just going to address recruiment tile issues.

Special Abilities and the like on "representative" images such as those found on a recruitment tile are sometimes not updated when a change is made. If there are multiple troop tokens that disagree with their recruitment tile, assume the recruitment tile is incorrect. The squads and such are the ones that get close scrutiny for play balance, not the representative images on the recruitment tile. They are pretty much just "background".

Much the same as if the wrong officer is shown on the recruitment tile, but there is an officer with matching color stripes. Use the officer that matches the platoon, not the one named on the recruitment tile.
