Juin 1944 :
High Command of the Wehrmacht is ordered by the Führer to launch a major counter-offensive on the bridgeheads created by the Allied Forces along the Normandie shores. Von Rundstedt hastily reunites an assault force and throws them at, what seems to be, a weak point in the American lines.
He knows this attack is a longshot but success will reassure A.H. in Berlin and cut him some more slack in his command actions.
Warned about enemy movement just before dawn, the GI’s have no choice but to dig in and brace themselves for the attack. For now they have bolstered their defences with some mines. ‘l’wo sections of Rangers are underway to aid in the fray.
‘l’here won’t be any naval artillery support and since the skies aren’t clear the airforce will be absent. Behind them, the cliffs and the channel deny any chance of retreat. This makes matters very simple, it will be fight… or die…
