For 10 years, Yann and Clem have been developing the Heroes System Tactical Scale. The  system first appeared with Frontiers in 2007. In 2014,  Heroes of Normandie (winner of Best Historical Board Game Origins award ; Fans Favorite Historical Board Game Origins Award) pushed the system  to a new level  in a Hollywood-polished   World War Two universe. Its 2015 sequel, Shadows over Normandie, used the Heroes System Tactical Scale to adapt Achtung! Cthulhu from Mödiphius with tentacles and Mythos horrors from HP Lovecraft’s horrific world rampaging the French countryside. hanks to its vast and amazing community, the system now has the Compendium, a compilation of all the rules published for the system to date.

However,  World War Two is not the only inspiration for Yann and Clem. For a very long time, they’ve been avid Warhammer 40,000 fans and players. Yann  favours the massed ranks of infantry and tank formations of  the Imperial Guard, while  Clem relates more to the endless Waaaagh!!! of the Orks.  It made perfect sense to adapt the Heroes System Tactical Scale to the grim dark far future of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.  

That’s why we aimed  for the stars and injected some Space Marines and Orks into our game system. Games Workshop have opened their doors to us for this adventure, so a big thank you to them.

This new edition of the system will introduce new features such as modular bunkers, reinforcement tiles, psychic powers, armor saves, and much more…

The armies will be highly asymmetric, so choose wisely whether you want play the blessed strength of Ultramar or the savage rage of the Orks.

    So we are talking about a release date of March 2018 right? Will the packages be sent signature service and via the post office (in the United States)? I wouldn’t want $200 worth of toys left on my doorstep….it’s not my job to supply games for the local thugs after all.
