On Sword Beach the 2nd KSLI arrives at 10:10 am in second wave with Staffordshire Yeomanry tanks in support. Its mission is to go towards Caen by following the road of Ouistreham. It’s a race against the clock. To take Caen is to open the road to Paris. But from the start the crowded beaches are causing the English to fall behind.
